The program

An 8-week outpatient program built around structured accountability and clinical evidence.

Nine clinical hours per week. Three evening groups, one individual session, and a concurrent partner track. Designed for men who can keep working while they get help.

Program structure

  • Duration: 8 weeks
  • Weekly clinical hours: 9 hours (three 2-hour groups + one 1-hour individual session)
  • Group format: Closed cohort. You start with a group and finish with that same group.
  • Individual therapy: Weekly. Same therapist for the full 8 weeks.
  • Delivery: In-person in Austin; virtual for Texas residents.
  • Partner program: Concurrent, dedicated clinical track for the betrayed partner, using the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model.
  • Continuity: Optional aftercare group and one-on-one coaching after graduation.

What treatment covers

The IOP curriculum draws from CSAT-informed frameworks (developed by IITAP, the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals) and cognitive-behavioral evidence base. Areas of clinical focus include:

  • Compulsivity, ritual, and behavior-chain interruption
  • Trauma history and shame processing
  • Attachment, intimacy, and sexual health
  • Disclosure planning (when appropriate for the partner track)
  • Relapse prevention and long-term maintenance
  • Rebuilding trust with partners, family, and self
