What we treat

Compulsive Sexual Behavior Disorder is a clinical diagnosis in the ICD-11. It shows up as a repeated pattern of failure to control intense, repetitive sexual impulses that a person continues despite serious consequences: to relationships, work, health, or self-respect. Sex addiction is not a moral failing. It is a treatable behavioral health condition.

Frequently asked

Is sex addiction a real diagnosis?
Yes. Compulsive Sexual Behavior Disorder is coded as ICD-11 6C72 by the World Health Organization. It is a recognized behavioral health condition, distinct from high libido, and requires clinical assessment and structured treatment.
Do you take insurance?
We are private pay and out-of-network with PPO plans. We provide superbills that most PPO plans will reimburse toward your out-of-network benefits. We do not report to your employer or insurance beyond what a superbill contains.
How long is the program?
The intensive outpatient program (IOP) runs 8 weeks, with 9 clinical hours per week (typically three evening group sessions and and one individual session per week).
Do I have to be in Austin?
We serve adult men throughout Texas. Groups run in-person in Austin and virtually for Texas residents outside Central Texas. The state licensure requirement means we cannot admit residents outside Texas.
What happens on the first call?
You reach a member of the founding team, not a call center. We take 20 minutes to hear where you are, describe the program honestly, and answer whatever you ask. If IOP is not the right level of care, we say so and refer you to someone who is a better fit.
